Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
- Identify and source potential clients in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region who could benefit from the company’s products and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Regularly visit clients to assess their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Build close relationships with customers across all levels to ensure long-term business partnerships.
Sales Planning and Execution
- Plan and organize sales call schedules to establish new accounts and service existing clients.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets set by the company.
- Expand business with existing clients through effective planning, presentation, and follow-ups.
- Develop strategies to explore new markets and increase sales.
Customer Support and Engagement
- Manage and interpret customer requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs.
- Provide technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase how products meet client needs.
- Persuade clients by articulating the benefits of the company’s products and services.
- Offer after-sales support and address customer inquiries promptly.
- Follow up on customer feedback to ensure satisfaction and continuously improve services.
Negotiation and Contract Management
- Negotiate tender and contract terms to secure profitable and mutually beneficial agreements.
- Administer client accounts, including recording and maintaining client contact data.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure proper delivery of materials and services to clients.
Market Analysis and Reporting
- Monitor market activities and provide periodic updates to the management team.
- Submit accurate weekly sales reports and consolidated monthly reports to top management.
- Provide insights into market trends and customer feedback to guide business strategies.
Event Participation and Collaboration
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events to promote products and network with potential clients.
- Collaborate with the sales team and technical support to achieve collective goals.
Operational Excellence
- Coordinate with stores and logistics for seamless material delivery.
- Follow company procedures for executing sales processes and ensure compliance with Quality/HSE systems.
- Maintain accurate records of clients and sales margins.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stay updated on industry trends, current affairs, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering technical presentations.
- Familiarity with Quality and HSE systems and procedures is an advantage.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Proven Experience of 2-3 years in sales within the Marine and/or Oil & Gas Sector.
- Knowledge of Safety Products & Regulations in the industry.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
